Is my pool leaking?
We receive more than 6,000 calls a year with this question. To find your answer, mark the pool level and measure it every 24 hours. In our experience, an average daily water loss is approximately 1/8 of an inch. If your water loss is consistently more than 1/4 of an inch per day, most likely you have a leak. A diagnostic service call would then be recommended. In most cases, this service is a cost effective way for you to save money over the long term as leaks can sometimes cause collateral damage if allowed to continue. .
Some exclusions would apply to this general rule, for example very small bodies of water such as a spa or hot tub. Swimmer or bather load can also significantly impact your water level.
